Event Venues in New York – Lofts, Rooftops & Studios
Space is the hard part of hosting anything in New York. A Brooklyn loft for a launch, a Manhattan rooftop for a summer party, a gallery for a private view, a studio for a shoot that runs past midnight — the inventory exists, but pricing is opaque and availability moves fast. This page lists the New York venues on Eventa with capacity, starting price and cancellation terms in the open.
There is no cart. You send the venue your date, hours, headcount and what you are hosting, and the owner comes back with a quote: total, deposit due now, balance due at the venue. Accept it and the deposit clears in USD by card through Stripe. Nothing is charged until you say yes to a number.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to rent an event space in New York?
Widely variable — a small studio for an evening and a full loft for a Saturday are not in the same bracket. Listings show a starting price for shortlisting, but the binding figure is the venue's quote once they know your date, hours and headcount, so overtime and staffing are priced in rather than sprung on you.
Which neighbourhoods have venues on Eventa?
Brooklyn — Williamsburg, Bushwick, Greenpoint — carries most of the loft and studio inventory, with rooftops and galleries in Manhattan and space opening up in Long Island City. Filter by capacity and date first; New York is small enough that a subway ride should not decide it.
Do I have to pay the full amount up front?
No. The venue sets what is payable now — often a percentage rather than the total — and you pay only that through Eventa. The remainder is settled directly with the venue, and each listing states which is which before you commit.
How far ahead should I book?
For a Friday or Saturday in the autumn or December party season, six to eight weeks is sensible; the better rooms go earlier. Weekday bookings and daytime shoots are usually fine at two weeks. Each listing shows an availability calendar with the dates already taken.
What if I need to cancel?
Each venue publishes a cancellation policy — flexible, moderate or strict — with the refund windows spelled out on the listing. Refunds apply to what you paid through Eventa; anything arranged directly with the venue sits outside that.
